Service Description

Let’s dive into Ancient Greek! Students will learn the Greek alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary, nouns, verbs, and basic sentence structures, building the skills needed to read and write in Ancient Greek. Taught by Bekah (M.A. in Biblical Languages: Linguistics, Liberty University), this course blends academic rigor with encouragement and hands-on practice, enriching both the mind and heart. Students will complete quizzes and a final test to track progress, ensuring they gain a strong foundation for continued study in Greek II next semester. Course Details: * When: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10:00 AM, August 18 – November 19 (no class during Thanksgiving week) * Where: East Anchorage * Who: Middle & high school students, no prior Greek required * Resources: Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar, Workbook, A Greek Reader: Companion to A Primer of Biblical Greek (ELR), and ESV Bible By the end of the semester, students will be able to read and write simple Greek, translate passages from the New Testament, and confidently continue into Greek II. This is more than a language course—it’s an opportunity to grow in understanding, critical thinking, and appreciation for the biblical text.
